14. If you like, you can experiment further with your wood grain by selecting a portion of the image and cropping it.
15. Now go to Image > Image Size. In the dialog box that appears, uncheck the Constrain Proportions button and enter a new print size width. The image will be stretched to fit the new dimensions, and the grain will be elongated.
Note: If you alter the image using the Transform commands, only the targetted layer will change. The Channel Mask will remain the same as before and will no longer correspond with the transformed artwork thus limiting any additional editing
16. To make the wood look weathered or sand blasted, use the Lighting Effects filter. Specify the wood grain Channel Mask as a texture channel to give your image a three-dimensional look.
